The 3Com® Router 5009 delivers high-performance WAN access routing in a cost-effective, modular desktop platform. This desktop unit comes equipped with one 10/100BASE-TX port and one serial (synchronous/asynchronous) port. In addition, two SIC (Smart Interface Card) and one MIM (Multi-function Interface Modules ) slots for LAN and WAN interface cards and modules give you added flexibility to let you adapt your network to your immediate and future business needs.

Device Management: For enhanced graphical management with extended functionality, 3Com Router Manager, available for purchase with 3Com Network Administrator or 3Com Network Director, is recommended. For smaller networks, graphical management of the device can be done with 3Com Network Supervisor. Management via CLI, Telnet, reverse Telnet, console port, Rlogin, and SNMP is standard with the device.
